Seanan McGuire has things to say on Twitter about being a female SFF author

Madeline Ashby talks about the aging population of the 'traditional' SFF scene. This one's cheer-worthy, folks: a precise, orderly explanation for all the times I felt out of place in the pro SFF arena.

Ebooks Breathe New Life into Novellas, which talks about novellas come back into vogue for pro authors as a self-promotion device.

What makes me sad about the list of successful action movies starring women is that I have seen almost all of them already. :(

Woe. I do recommend Haywire, although it doesn't seem to have made much money, and I also argue that even though Elektra isn't good, it is much better than it's given credit for. At least, it has things in it that I want (female mentor-mentee relationship in an SFF setting) that I usually can't get.

But obviously, if a movie is on that list, it's because lots of people saw it, which does increase the chances that you were one of those people. :)
